Breast Augmentation

Breast implants increase fullness of the breasts. They are used to improve the balance and shape of a woman's body. Patient's interest in augmentations range from subtle fullness to a significant increase in their breast size. Options include saline or silicone gel, over or under the muscle, and a possible lift. Outcome goals are based upon a patient's pre-operative breast appearance, as well as the patient's tummy, hip and overall body shape. Sample implants that can be taken home to "try-on" along with many before and after photos are used to help each patient pick just the right implant for their figure.

Mastopexy (Breast Lift)

A procedure designed to improve the laxity of skin and breast tissue that is a common result of weight loss, pregnancy and the natural aging process. Good candidates for a breast lift have nipple/areolas that are pointing downward in relation to the breast mound. There are scars placed around the areola and vertically downward. This brings the nipple back up to a youthful location on the breast and tightens and lifts the breast as well. Often an implant is used simultaneously to increase upper and medial breast volume to create fuller cleavage that may be diffucult to achieve with a lift alone.

Breast Reduction

Dr. Nargi performs the "vertical pattern" breast reduction for almost all patients. This is a relatively newer procedure to help large-breasted women reduce weight, improve shape and avoid scars along the breast crease. The resulting shape is rounder than the older pattern and the problem of excess underarm fat is improved. Nipple sensation is usually preserved, and the ability to breastfeed is often still possible.

Liposuction

The perfect liposuction patient is one who has tight skin and persistant areas of fat despite relatively normal body weight. Common areas include 'saddlebags' or 'love handles' or upper tummy. Liposuction permanently removes fat cells and reshapes the body. Pain is minimal when compared to surgery, and the tiny scars are almost invisible. The areas most frequently liposuctioned are the stomach, hips, waist, thighs, buttocks, arms, legs and neck.

Facelifts

Facelifts simply remove excess facial skin from the neck, jawline and the cheeks, placing the incisions in the most hidden location along the contour of the ear and into the hairline. They are designed to maintain a person's natural individual face characteristics, but create a more rested, youthful appearance by removing the heaviness of jowls and neck wrinkles.

Facial Skin Rejuvenation

Fine lines and wrinkles on the face, especially around the eyes and mouth can be treated with the laser, a chemical peel, or dermabrasion. Age spots, facial veins acne scars and rosacea can be treated, creating a smoother, more even skin tone. BOTOX® and facial fillers are used for fine facial changes restoring a more youthful appearance. Our aesthetician and  registered nurses provide ongoing treatments such as mini-peels, and microdermabrasion as well as a comprehensive line of physician quality skin products tailored to each patient's unique skin care needs.

Eyelid Lifts

Excess skin on the upper eyelid and puffy fat deposits with or without excess skin on the lower eyelid can make people appear tired or unhappy even when they feel perfectly awake and alert. The eyelid lift or blepharoplasty procedure gives a patient a fresher, well rested appearance, using very fine, well hidden incisions along natural crease lines. Pain is very minimal and recovery is usually quite good within 2-4 weeks.

Rhinoplasty

Rhinoplasty procedures can refine overall facial appearance, and help those patients with breathing problems due to inner nasal constriction.

Abdominoplasty

This procedure, commonly called a 'tummy tuck', is for the patient who due to pregnancy, aging or significant weight loss who has developed excess skin, stretch marks, and/or weakened muscles in the abdominal area. Abdominoplasty removes a large amount of excess skin on the lower abdomen and tightens the entire abdominal wall, placing the scar low in the bikini line. The belly-button is sewn into a new place on the tightened skin keeping the scar as tiny and internal as possible. Many patients are able to wear 1-2 sizes smaller in pants which fit their natural leg size much better. Liposuction can be used in conjunction for those who would like more shaping of their sides.

Breast Reconstruction after Mastectomy

The medical community of the Flathead Valley enjoys small, warm, hospital facilities with the unusual benefits of highly trained breast cancer specialists. A fellowship trained breast radiologist, breast surgeon, along with cancer and radiation specialists join forces with Dr. Nargi to provide state of the art breast cancer care. Multiple surgical procedures are available for patients wishing the comfort, balance and appropriate contour and feel of breast reconstruction. Generally breast reconstruction is a multi-step process, but for many women immediate results are possible, where a patient can come out of the operating room with a pretty, natural breast shape. Both implant and own-tissue (ie; TRAM) reconstruction can be chosen based upon the patient's individual medical situation. Scars are meticulously placed in "cosmetic breast surgery" orientations to achieve the best appearance possible.

Our understanding and positive-minded staff make every effort to support each woman through this trying time. A network of kind fellow patients have offered their contact information for new patients to learn from their breast cancer and reconstruction experience. Many photos of different types and stages of breast reconstruction are used to explain the surgical process.

Procedures for Men

Liposuction of the abdomen and sides, reduction of excess chest tissue and minimization of nipple projection are very common procedures for men wishing improvement in their torso. Scars can be nearly invisible, and results completely natural and permanent.

Facial procedures such as eyelid lifts and facelifts are also increasing markedly in men. For these patients, extreme care is taken to provide just the right balance of tightened skin while maintaining the appropriate age and character of a man's face.
