Plastic Surgery
Rhinoplasty, also known as a “nose job,” reshapes the nose for aesthetic or functional reasons — addressing size, shape, or asymmetry, nasal humps or bulbous tips, and breathing issues like a deviated septum, all tailored to your facial structure by Dr. Sarah Nargi.
Functional vs. Cosmetic Rhinoplasty
Focuses on enhancing nasal shape and proportion, such as narrowing the bridge or refining the nasal tip to achieve facial harmony.
Addresses internal structures that affect breathing, including a deviated septum, nasal valve collapse, enlarged turbinates, or trauma and congenital abnormalities.
Dr. Nargi often performs combined functional and cosmetic procedures to ensure form and function work in harmony.
What to Expect
Dr. Nargi evaluates your nasal structure and facial symmetry, discusses your goals and medical history, and reviews potential outcomes using visual references or imaging.
Performed under IV sedation. Small incisions inside the nostrils or under the columella allow access to reshape bone, cartilage, and soft tissue. Surgery typically lasts 1 to 3 hours.
Swelling and bruising gradually subside over the following weeks and months, with your final nasal shape and definition appearing over time.
Recovery Timeline
Swelling, bruising, and mild discomfort. Rest with your head elevated.
Splints are removed. Most patients return to work.
Bruising fades, breathing improves, and light activity can resume.
Swelling continues to resolve as results refine.
Final nasal shape and definition appear.

Good to Know
Most patients heal significantly in 2 to 3 weeks. Minor swelling can persist for several months, with final results taking up to 12 months.
Discomfort is typically mild and managed with prescribed pain medication. Most patients feel better after the first week.
Improvement is gradual. Swelling may limit airflow temporarily, but function improves as healing progresses.
No visible scarring occurs with closed rhinoplasty. For open techniques, a small incision under the nose typically heals with minimal visibility.
Avoid resting glasses on your nose for 4 to 6 weeks. We can recommend taping techniques or alternative supports.
Sleep on your back with your head elevated for the first 1 to 2 weeks to prevent pressure on your healing nose.
Many male patients seek rhinoplasty to improve nasal structure, breathing, and profile while maintaining a strong, masculine appearance.
